We started working on the album in the fall of 2003. Our goal was to create an honest album with a "live feeling", so it felt natural to do most of our recordings live in the studio.  
The song "By your side" is recorded in the MLP studios in Gjøvik, while the rest of the album is recorded at Knut Bjørnar Asphol's in Gjerdrum, and at Ronny Ødegaard's in Toten.

We spent a lot of time working on this album, wanting to be nothing but completely satisfied...And now we truly are! We've been very eager about creating the right sound throughout the whole album, but also on each and every song. Several times we went back into the studio, even just to work on the same song over and over again. We also decided to only do songs that work out in an acoustic setting, as well as with a full band.

Our music is not only about finding the right sound, but just as much about the lyrics. Our friend, Miriam V. Holten, has helped us out with putting together the words. She knows us very well, and the lyrics she's written is totally in tune with what's on our hearts. That way we can perform with passion and credibility. 

Freedom is the main message throughout this album, and we've gotten a lot of feedback from people who find our songs very comforting. The important thing is that this is not about us, it's all about God...and our main goal with this album is to focus on Him.

Vi startet jobbingen med plata høsten 2003, og hadde et klart mål om at vi ønsket å ha en live preget plate, som var ærlig og troverdig. Det var da naturlig at vi spilte inn mye live i studio.

”By your side” spilte vi inn høsten 2003 i MLP studios på Gjøvik. Ellers så er resten gjort hos Knut Bjørnar Asphol på Gjerdrum, og hos Ronny Ødegaard på Toten.
Det var veldig viktig for oss å bruke god tid på plata. Vi var opptatt av og finne det rette soundet på platen som helhet, og på hver låt. Det førte til at vi har vært i studio med samme låt opp til flere ganger. Vi ville bli ordentlig fornøyde, og det er vi!
 Noe annet vi bestemte oss for var at vi ikke ville ha med låter som ikke var sterke nok i seg selv, til at de funket like bra i en enkel akustisk setting, som med fullt band. Vi brukte det som en liten målestokk.

Tekstene på denne plata har vært ekstremt viktige for oss. Vi har fått enorm hjelp av Miriam V. Holten til å sy i sammen det vi ønsket å formidle. Miriam kjenner oss godt og hun vet hva som engasjerer oss. Det har gjort det enklere for henne og skrive tekster som vi kan identifisere oss med, og formidle på en troverdig måte.
”Frihet” er den røde tråen gjennom platen. Dette har resultert i at mange har sagt de virker trøstende og gode. At de tar fokus vekk fra oss mennesker, og setter det på Gud selv. Det er Han det handler om. Ikke oss!
